FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the complex processing of waste products of titanium-magnesium production, that may be used in nonferrous metallurgy, in particular, in titanium-magnesium production to produce additional commodity output - solutions of calcium chloride on a base of utilization of the liquid and gaseous waste products of the production which are formed at production of a magnesium and titanium, in particular at the stages of: dehydrations of carnallite, electrolysis of magnesium chloride and chlorination of titanium-bearing slags. The method of a complex processing of the titanium-magnesium production waste products includes: treatment of the effluent gases containing chlorine and hydrogen chloride with an absorbing suspension on a base of calcium oxide by circulation in the tank - scrubber system; withdrawal of the waste solution from the system; separation of a solid phase. The waste solution containing more 20 g/l of calcium oxide, 10-60 g/l of calcium hypochlorite, 100 - 200 g/l of calcium carbonate and 100 - 200 g/l of calcium chloride is used as the absorbing suspension, that is additionally fed for circulation in the tank - scrubber system at simultaneous treatment with the furnace gases containing more than 10 mg/l of hydrogen chloride. The furnace gases were produced by incineration of a mixture of a natural and chlorine-containing gases at the ratio of the natural gas to chlorine - equal to 1: (0.7 - 1.3) at the temperature of within the limits of 600 - 900°С, up to achievement of рН of solution equal to 6 - 8. Then the solution is removed from the circulating system and its solid phase is separated. The invention allows to increase a degree of concentration of calcium chloride, to reduce costs of decomposing of calcium hypochlorite and to utilize the formed waste products of production, including secondary waste products.
EFFECT: The invention allows to increase concentration of calcium chloride, to reduce costs of calcium hypochlorite decomposition, to utilize the waste products of production, including secondary waste products.
