FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to effluent gases appearing in process fluidized-bed furnaces of carnallite dehydration, in final dehydration process chlorinators, in electrolytic magnesium and chlorine production, in melt chlorinators of titanium-containing raw material chlorination process, and in hypochloride pulp degradation process when catching disbalance chlorine. All these gases contain large amounts of hydrogen chloride, chlorine, and carbon dioxide. Treatment of titanium-magnesium production effluent gases involves treating gas with liquid absorbent, in particular soda solution, which circulates within tank-scrubber system, ratio of sodium carbonate in soda solution to effluent gas being by 5 to 50% higher than stoichiometric ratio with initial concentration of sodium carbonate 20-300 g/l. Treatment temperature ranges between 50 and 90 C and gas sprinkling density with soda solution in scrubber is 1.13-1.17 g/cu. cm. EFFECT: prevented formation of chorates in waste and therefore reduced expenses on detoxification of hypochlorite pulps. 5 cl
