FIELD: chemicothermal treatment in metallurgy and engineering industry.

SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of chromoboric plating of steel articles that is dealt with metallurgy and engineering industry and may be used in , namely, to a chemicothermal treatment of steel items. The given method provides for the steel items heating, saturation at the temperature of chromoboric plating in a powder mixture containing the following ingredients(in mass %): boric carbide 0.5-25.0, chromium bromide - 0.5-15.0, nickelous chloride - 0.1-2.0, sodium tetrafluoborate - 0.1-1.0, ammonium bromide - 0.1-2.0, corundum - 55-98.7. At that heating and saturation of the items is conducted in medium of hydrogen and during the heating they execute two aggregate exposures: at the temperature of 300-500°С for 3-10 minutes and at the temperature of 600-900°С during 5-30 minutes, and before refrigerating the gas type products are pumped out. The technical result of the invention is an increase of quality the treated surface of the steel articles, and intensification of the chromoboric plating process.

EFFECT: the invention allows to increase the steel articles treated surface quality, to intensify the chromoboric plating process.
