TWO-SIDED FASTENER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for connecting construction panels and it can be used in automotive industry for connecting thin-walled parts. Proposed two-sided fastener has support part I on opposite sides of which fixing elements 2 are formed consisting of four springy lobes 5 with outer meeting sides 6, inner surfaces 7 pointed inside the space limited by lobes and side surfaces 8,9. Each lobe is connected by one end with plate-type support part and is connected by other end with the rest of lobes forming end face 10. Lobes are provided with mounting recesses 12 and are arranged on support part uniformly relative to axis of fastener. At least one pair of lobes arranged opposite to one another relative to axis II of fastener is located at different sides of plane containing the axis. Side surfaces of said pair of lobes are parallel to each other and to said plane. Inner surface of each lobe is pointed to space between its adjacent and opposite lobes. Each lobe is made with size decreasing from one side surface of the other in plane of section perpendicular to axis.

EFFECT: improved reliability of fastener.
