FIELD: oxidation catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides catalyst and method for catalytic ammoxidation of propane and isobutane into corresponding α,β-unsaturated mononitriles, i.e. acrylonitrile and methacrylonitrile using disclosed catalyst. Catalyst has following empiric formula VSbaSnbTicFedOx wherein 1 ≤ a ≤ 1.8; 0 ≤ b ≤ 0.35; 0 ≤ c ≤ 0.15; 0 < d ≤ 0.8; 0 < b+c ≤ 0; 1 ≤ a-d < 1.8; and, when a-d > 1.2, then 0 < d < 0.5 and 0.3 ≤ b+c ≤ 0.5; and, when a-d ≤ 1.2, then 0.2 < d ≤ 0.8 and 0 < b+c < 0.3; x being found from oxidation state of cations present in catalyst. Catalyst is preferably calcined at temperature at least 780оС.
EFFECT: increased catalyst selectivity.
