FIELD: chemical technology, catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of tin-containing vanadium-antimony catalysts useful for catalytic ammoxidation of C3-C5-paraffins or olefins, particularly, to synthesis of catalysts used for ammoxidation of propane or isobutene or propylene or isobutylene to yield corresponding α,β- unsaturated mononitrile, acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile. Invention describes method of synthesis of catalyst containing vanadium, antimony, tin and titanium in oxidized state that involves preparing aqueous suspension of parent substances as a charge containing compounds of elements to be incorporation in final catalyst, drying mixture and its calcination to form active catalyst. The source of charging tin is a solution containing SnO2•xH2O where n ≥ 0 dispersed in tetraalkylammonium hydroxide defined by the following formula: (C2H2n+1)4NOH where 5 ≥ n ≥ 1. Invention describes also method of synthesis of catalyst of definite empirical formula and providing drying carrying out and calcinations up to 500 C and also methods of synthesis of α,β-unsaturated mononitrile in the presence of catalysts synthesized by the above described methods.
