FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine vessels breaking ice cover by resonance method.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device excites resonance flexural gravitational waves in ice during motion of ship under ice at resonance speed; proposed device includes unit mounted in fore portion of ship on upper surface of her hull and made in form of track running along hull; this track is just conveyer belt whose outer portion is located at level of shell plating of hull; this belt moves in direction opposite to motion of ship.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of braking ice cover.
