FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation in ice conditions, in particular to underwater vessels floating in conditions of continuous ice cover. The proposed device for breaking the ice cover by the resonant method consists of an underwater vessel, on the upper surface of which, in its fore and aft ends, respectively, under the trough and top of the resonant bending-gravity waves excited by the vessel, two devices are installed in the form of tracks running along the hull of the vessel, representing two conveyor belts, the outer surfaces of which are located at the level of the outer shell plating. The first conveyor belt, located in the fore end of the vessel, is made with the ability to move it in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the vessel, and its installation point is located in the fore end under the trough of the excited resonant bending-gravity waves. The second conveyor belt, located at the aft end of the vessel, is made with the ability to move in the direction coinciding with the direction of movement of the vessel, and its installation point is located under the top of the excited resonant bending-gravity waves.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of ice cover breaking is achieved.
