FIELD: spectral analysis.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is realized by means of unit provided with rod-type electrodes secured in current-collector collets and mounted at fixed inter-electrode gap. After imparting rotary motion to electrodes, AC voltage is fed to them by means of electric brushes, thus striking arc discharge in inter-electrode gap. Aerosol being synthesized is directed by means of carrier gas to spectrum excitation source through gas duct. Time of stabilization of oxidizing processes is checked by change of spectroanalytical signals, after which mass of atomized material of both electrodes is measured.
EFFECT: possibility of determination of content of microelements in gas flows not containing graphite by atomizing standard metal specimens at avoidance of fraction sublimation effect.
