FIELD: production of solar energy converters.
SUBSTANCE: process includes casting of ingot from silicon melt by method of crystallization directed along vertical axis, cutting of ingot into briquettes in planes parallel and perpendicular to vertical axis of ingot, cutting of ingot into plates along planes parallel to vertical axis of ingot.
EFFECT: diminished number of monocrystalline grains in plate which leads to increased efficiency of operation of solar elements manufactured on base of these plates.
