FIELD: processing random-access requests in mobile communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for processing random-access requests RA1, RA2, RA3 coming from mobile stations in mobile communication system 10 that randomly chooses new signatures 102 for retransmission in conflict situations. Random-access retransmission of RA1, RA2, RA3 is randomized in signature domain instead of time domain. Proposed method makes it possible to reduce random-access delays caused by conflicts or erroneous arrival of requests to base-station receivers 14 and to greatly shorten intervals between random-access transmissions Td.
EFFECT: reduced conflict-induced delays and intervals between random-access retransmissions.
