FIELD: methods for processing plurality of random access requests in mobile communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: base station transfers detection indicator signal that points to the fact that base station has detected random access transfer. Detection indicator can be formed around quantity of energy received over random access channel (for instance as opposed to correct or incorrect decoding of random access message). As a result, delay between initiation of random access transfer and start of detection indicator transmission is much lower than that before transmission of reception-acknowledgement signal basing on reception of correctly decoded random access message. If mobile station fails to receive positive detection indicator, it should interrupt transmission and start retransmission of random access burst during next time interval correspondingly changing power level of transmission between sequential retransmissions. In this way random access system provides for high-speed sawtooth power variation cycle and reduced random access delay.

EFFECT: improved characteristics of system, reduced risk of redundant noise for other users.
