SUBSTANCE: user equipment (UE) is used to identify at least two preamble groups for network accessing, wherein each of these at least two preamble groups is at least a combination of at least one transport format and at least one radio communication condition; a preamble is selected from one of said at least two preamble groups, wherein selection is carried out in accordance with one of the presented combinations; and network accessing is requested using said selected preamble. The network identifies one of said at least two preamble groups to which the preamble used to send the network access request belongs.
