FIELD: oil and gas industry; preliminary separation of gas-and-liquid mixtures in preparation of oil and gas wells.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device has inclined section widening upward and horizontal section and branch pipes for delivery of gas-and-liquid mixture, discharge of gas and drainage of liquid. Partitions mounted on widening inclined section, as well as at inlet and outlet of horizontal section form traps which are communicated with liquid discharge branch pipes. Hole available between housing and lower portion of partition at outlet of horizontal section is also communicated with liquid discharge branch pipe. Partitions are provided with branch pipes for passage of mixture to be separated. Partitions mounted on horizontal section are inclined towards inlet portion. Branch pipe fitted at inlet of horizontal section is provided with swirler and is connected with bowl-like intake unit. Baffles are mounted at branch pipe outlets.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation.
