FIELD: farming; soil science; methods of estimation of biological activity of soils.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introduction of aerosil mixture containing hydrogen peroxide into reservoir, mixing it with soil and connecting the reservoir to gas metering systems. Articles made from inert material are preliminarily placed in reservoir containing soil so that they are fully covered with soil. Mixing of aerosil compound with soil is performed by shaking the reservoir after connecting it to gas metering system.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of rate of fermentative reaction.
