FIELD: railway transport; permanent way.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rail joint rail ends interconnected at both sides by fishplates, bolts and nuts. Contact surfaces of rail joint are provided with conducting corrosion-resistant material including grains whose hardness exceeds hardness of materials of rails and fishplates. Method of stabilization of electric resistance of rail joint includes assembling of rail joint by means of threaded connection by bolts and nuts through holes in fishplates and necks of rails to be joined. Prior to connecting, electric conducting material containing grains whose hardness exceeds hardness of materials of rails and fishplates is applied to control surfaces of rail fishplates and rails. Device for application of electric conducting material on contact surfaces of rail joint is essentially rod containing binder, fluxes and grains whose hardness exceeds hardness of materials of rails and fishplates.
EFFECT: improved reliability in operation, stabilized electric parameters of track circuits.
