RAIL CIRCUITRY CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC E01B11/00 B60M5/00

Abstract RU 2330912 C1

FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, in particular to rail circuitry and is designed to conduct signal and propulsion currents in rails of the electric traction railways. The circuit conductor connector assembly incorporates a current-conducting plate with terminals arranged on the plate side facing the rails attached to the web of the rail bond, a concave-convex spring element and a joint bar. The box-like current-conducting plate is furnished with a jumper arranged between the said terminals and made from a material with electrical resistance lower than that of the current-conducting plate material. The said spring element is arranged so that its convex camber faces the webs of jointed rails, while its end bent off horizontally facing the joint bar. There is a concave camber made in the spring element center to the make spring element contact with the mating ledge on the current-conducting plate. The current-conducting plate walls are furnished with the spring element clampers to ensure the spring element self-adjustment on the current-conducting plate ledge. The terminals are made from a composite material.

EFFECT: higher reliability of the rail circuitry connector assembly.
