FIELD: hydrodynamics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of building cavitation in liquids, and it can be used for intensification of processes of mixing, contacting, dispersing, emulsification, mass exchange, heat exchange in liquids, acceleration of chemical reactions in liquid media and converting regulated energy (pressure and speed) of liquid into heat energy. Proposed method creates two hydrodynamic duties in liquid. First one provides cavitation by accelerating liquid to speed at which static pressure in liquid is equal to pressure of saturated vapor, and second one provides braking of cavitation liquid by increasing static pressure to value at which cavitation vanishes with subsequent removal of liquid. Paired torus-like flows are created in liquid in each which liquid is simultaneously rotated around central and circular axes, rotation of liquid around central axis creating first hydrodynamic duty in inner area of each torus-like flow, and second hydrodynamic duty at periphery. Liquid from periphery is displaced into inner area and back by rotation in torus-like flows around circular axes.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of building of cavitation.
