FIELD: fiber-optic communications lines engineering.
SUBSTANCE: flexible insert for placement in fiber-optic cable line has multi-channel wicker element, which has plurality of wicker stripes interconnected for forming channels between neighboring wicker stripes. One stripe has preliminary given width, second and third stripes overlap respectively on given first stripe having width less than width of given second and third stripe. Insert has device periodically connecting and fixing all stripes together on their edges. Cable is placed in the channel formed by neighboring stripes. Material of layer formed by neighboring stripes has wicker structure and certain properties: melting pint, hardness limit, relative extension, friction coefficient, bending resistance and restoring after compression.
EFFECT: simplified placement of at least one cable in cable line and separation of cable line on portions.
