FIELD: mobile code-division multiple access communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed for coding TFCP bits in asynchronous mobile CDMA communication system has user's equipment and Node B that transfers burst data on user's equipment. TFCP bits generator produces TFCP bits of variable quantity depending on first-to-second data-bit channel ratio. Code length data generator functions to generate data on code length to specify length of code word according to data bit ratio. Walsh code generator produces first through fifth basic Walsh code words. Sequence generator produces sequence of ones only. Mask generator serves to generate first through fourth basic masks. First through tenth multipliers are used to multiply TFCP bits by first through fifth basic Walsh code words, by sequence of ones, and by first through fourth basic masks, respectively. Adder functions to add output signals of first through tenth output signals. Perforator punches code word. Multiple coding operations afforded by proposed device and method make use of coder of one design in mobile communication system and provide for multiplexing characters coded in different ways.
