FIELD: coding and decoding channels in mobile code-division multiple access communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves following operations: transmitter 5 encodes input data bits, converts them into sixteen coded characters using first-order Reed-Muller code, and pierces four coded characters out of sixteen ones so as to form code word having minimal code-word distance; pierced coded characters in the form of code word are passed to receiver which inserts zero (0) bits in pierced positions and computes correlation integrities between coded characters with inserted zeros and all first-order Reed-Muller code words, whereupon it yields five input data bits for coded characters corresponding to maximal integrity.
EFFECT: enhanced optimization of code word in mobile communication system.
