DEVICE FOR SORTING-OUT WOOD MATERIALS BY RESIN CONTENT IN ELECTROSTATIC FIELD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: separation of wood materials in electrostatic field by resin content; wood-processing industry for separation of wood chips into fractions at different content of colophony.

SUBSTANCE: electric separator has rectangular housing where flat electrodes, 500x1500 mm in size are mounted on hinges at angel to vertical. Distance between electrodes is 200 and 600 mm at the top and at the bottom, respectively. Such securing of electrodes makes it possible to orient them in space in any position relative to each other and relative to separator axis. Separating shutter located between electrodes is articulated on tray which is supported by struts of base. Two bins receiving the sorted-put chips are located below tray. For loading the chips in plant, its side wall is provided with loading bin; feed conveyer is located below this bin. Conveyer belt is made from rubberized cloth and drive and driven pulleys are made from insulating material. Conveyer is set in motion by electric motor with reduction gear through V-belt drive. Motion from feed conveyer is transmitted to replenishing conveyer through V-belt drive. Replenishing conveyer is made from insulating material; conveyer belt is made from elastic copper screen and upper wall is made from metal plate which is connected with positive electrode and copper screen is connected with negative electrode.
