FIELD: wood-working industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the separation of wood materials in an electrostatic field according to gumminess and can be used in the wood processing industry to separate the industrial chips into fractions with different rosin content. Non-uniform electrical field is created between the separator electrodes by the arrangement of electrodes in the form of a wire stretched between flat plates. Density flux and, consequently, the field strength under these conditions is the highest at the wire and gradually decreases as we approach the plate. Field strength directly at the plate is insufficient for sparking and electrical breakdown. Electric separator consists of a rectangular body in which flat electrodes are mounted on the hinges. Such fastening of the electrodes allows them to be oriented in space in any position relative to each other and the axis of the separator. In the space between the positive electrodes, there is a negative electrode mounted on the separator tray. Tray actually falls on the racks of the base of the installation. Below the tray three hopper to collect accepted chips are placed. To load chips in the installation in the side wall a loading hopper is installed, below which a feeding conveyor is strengthened. Movement from the feeding conveyor is transferred to a recharging conveyor.

EFFECT: increases the efficiency of the sorting process and operational safety.
