FIELD: production of reflective coatings adapted to be subjected to flexure.
SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting metal base in the form of flexible metal sheet to ionic or plasma etching; applying reflective layer in two stages: first stage involving providing deposition of silver layer of 1-40 nm thickness; processing surface with accelerated ion beam for ionic mixing of silver layer with metal base; providing deposition of second silver layer until total thickness of silver layer is 100-200 nm; providing vacuum deposition of nickel-chromium layer of 1-3 nm thickness, with components being used in the ratio of, wt%: nickel 65-95 and chromium 35-5; applying protective layer of transparent metal oxide by plasma sputtering method in oxygen atmosphere, with applying of reflective and protective layers being performed at temperature not in the excess of 1800C. Method allows flexible and reflective structure to be produced with stable form. Said structure may be bent at small radius of curvature without deteriorating adhesion of reflective layer. Structure produced by method may be used for manufacture of reflectors of different shape, in particular, reflectors for edge illumination of liquid-crystal displays.
EFFECT: simplified method for manufacture of reflective structure and improved quality of reflective coating.
