FIELD: deposition of heat-reflecting coats on glass by sputtering in vacuum. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with invention glass is cleaned in advance and heat-reflecting coat is deposited by sputtering in vacuum combining process of sputtering with ionic treatment. Formed coat includes three layers, namely, buffer, reflecting and protective layers. Arc or magnetron sputtering is used to deposition of coat. Coat deposited by proposed method displays chemical and wear resistance as well as adhesive strength. That is why glasses with such heat-reflecting coats can be used for glazing of apartment houses and industrial buildings both in glass stacks and in traditional frames.
