FIELD: plating equipment, in particular, electrolytic application of tin onto continuously movable steel tape.
SUBSTANCE: method involves electrochemical deposition of tin with the use of insoluble anodes and replenishment of tin concentration in oxygen-saturated electrolyte solution; removing oxygen dissolved in said solution at outlet end of apparatus for preparing of electrolyte in the process of preparing of Sn+2-enriched solution of electrolyte. Deoxygenation of electrolyte may be performed with the use of cathode processing of electrolyte on through-flow volumetric porous electrode made from conductive fibers or by reducing atmospheric pressure of gas above solution or by blowing of electrolyte with inert gas.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced production costs and improved quality of tinning of steel.
