FIELD: linear charged-particle accelerators and their structural components.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed for generating high-energy beams of non-relativistic and relativistic accelerated charged particles of megawatt power has its accelerating structures made in the form of at least one pair of active and passive sections adjusted to consumption of half their high-frequency input power for accelerating charged-particle beam and for conveying other half of high-frequency power to adder inputs.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reduced length of accelerating system.
