METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCTION OF ACCELERATED CHARGED PARTICLES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2152142 C1

FIELD: medical devices, in particular, for ray therapy, extermination of radioactive waste products. SUBSTANCE: method involves passing beam of particles through linear accelerating structures, which are connected to each other by means of magnetic rotation angles, and directing them into beam targeting system. Linear accelerating structures are arranged about three-dimensional trajectory to conform to condition that beam movement direction vectors in adjacent structures are at less than 180 angle. Said linear accelerating structures are arranged into flat, conic or cylindrical spiral. EFFECT: decreased weight and size, increased output power, increased seismic stability. 4 cl, 3 dwg
