EMULSION INACTIVATED VACCINE AGAINST PIG REPRODUCTIVE-RESPIRATORY SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary virology.

SUBSTANCE: emulsion inactivated vaccine against pig reproductive-respiratory syndrome (PRRS) comprises antigenic material from the strain "BD" of homologous virus reproduced in transplanted culture of cells Marc-145, aminoethylethyleneimine as an inactivating agent and oily adjuvant in the effective ratio. The strain is deposited in collection of microorganisms VGNKI at registration number "BD-DEP". The strain "BD" is reproduced in transplanted culture of cells Marc-145 with biological activity, at least, 6.0 lg TCD₅₀/cm³. Vaccine represents emulsion of white or white color with pink tint. Vaccine is administrated to animals by intramuscular route behind of ear in the dose 2 cm³ being independently of their age. Immunity in vaccinated animals is developed on 21-30 day after vaccination and retains for up to 12 months. Vaccine induces high level of antibodies against PRRS, provides safe passive mother immunity in young animals before 20-25 day age that provides protecting animals against field virulent virus PRRS in early period of life.
