METHOD FOR PREPARING EMULSION INACTIVATED VACCINE AGAINST PIG REPRODUCTIVE-RESPIRATORY SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary virology, biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing antigenic material from the strain "BD-DEP" (collection of VGNKI) of pig reproductive-respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus reproduced in transplanted culture of cells Marc-145 with biological activity, at least, 6.0 lg TCD₅₀/cm³. Virus is cultured at 37 ± 2^oC and pH 7.2-7.4 for 48-72 h. After purification of virus-containing suspension from inert impurities by the known method aminoethylethyleneimine is added to suspension in the concentration 0.001-0.05% for inactivation of virus. Purified and avirulent antigenic material is combined with oily adjuvant in the effective ratio. Ready preparation is subjected for control in accordance with TU. Method allows expanding assortment of emulsion inactivated vaccine against PRRS eliciting high immunogenic activity and harmless and making expressing and lasting immunity in vaccinated animals against epizootic isolates of PRRS virus circulating in Russia territory.
