METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF RECTIFIED ALCOHOL Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: production of alcohols; edible rectified alcohol in particular.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes boiling-off alcohol from mash in mash column for conversion of ethyl alcohol and accompanying admixtures into mash distillate, cleaning mash distillate from overhead and intermediate admixtures including components of fusel oil in fractionating column at delivery of hot water to its upper plate, rectifying fractionation product in alcohol column at taking-off fractions of fusel oil and non-pasteurized alcohol, distillation of fractions of overhead and intermediate admixtures of ethyl alcohol in distillation column. Alcohol oil from alcohol column, fractions from condensers of alcohol and methanol columns are directed to upper plate of distillation column. Hot water delivered to upper portion of distillation column is used for hydraulic selection of overhead admixtures, propyl alcohols and other intermediate admixtures which are taken from condenser of this column in form of concentrate of overhead admixtures and propyl alcohols. Still liquid of distillation column is directed to plate of alcohol column.

EFFECT: improved quality of alcohol.
