FIELD: biotechnology, biology, cytogenetics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing nutrient medium used for culturing lymphocytes from humans and animals peripheral blood in carrying out cytogenetic investigations. Medium is prepared by mixing a solvent - nutrient medium RPMI-1640 with finely divided lyophilized protein sterile product of the following composite: calf embryo serum treated preliminary with activated carbon at pH = 2.7-3,2 followed by regulation of pH value to 7.6-8.0, phytohemagglutinin-P, L-glutamine, sodium pyruvate, streptomycin sulfate, benzylpenicillin sodium salt. Nutrient medium RPMI-1640 is used with the content of sodium chloride 4.8 mg/ml and without L-glutamine. Invention provides preparing culture of active blood lymphocytes with mitotic index 15%, not less. The growth quality of medium is stable for prolonged storing time.
EFFECT: improved preparing method, valuable properties of nutrient medium.
