FIELD: glassmaking.
SUBSTANCE: artificial quartz crystals are prepared under hydrothermal conditions by temperature drop technique involving preliminary hydrothermal reservoir of autoclave and growing crystals by recrystallization of quartz blend on vertically oriented inoculating crystal of ZY cut from water-alkali (Na2CO3 and/or NaOH) solution with 0.01-0.2 M lithium nitrate added.
EFFECT: improved quality of artificial crystals due to reduced concentration of solid inclusions.
