FIELD: processes and devices for growing optical crystals such as quartz monocrystals used in radio electronics, optical electronics and optics.
SUBSTANCE: method for growing quartz monocrystals at hydrothermal condition in autoclave by recrystallization of quartz from charge onto shielded seed plates inclined relative to horizontal plane at presence of temperature drop between growing chamber and dissolving chamber comprises steps of performing recrystallization onto seed plates of ZY-orientation arranged radially relative to vertical axis of autoclave and inclined by angle 15 - 45° relative to horizontal plane. Side of seed plates turned to growing chamber is arranged higher than side of plates turned to autoclave axis while upper Z-surfaces and end surfaces of seed plates are shielded.
EFFECT: possibility for growing high-quality monocrystals of optical quartz at high speed.
