FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method includes grinding the part of the operating pipeline, mounting the split coupling on this part, with an opening in one of the couplings, welding the couplings, mounting the branch pipe, and cutting the opening in the gas pipeline. The opening in the coupling receives copper saddle-shaped disk which is pressed to the gas pipeline by a screw of centering device. The spaced formed is welded in layers providing two passages in each layer over the periphery of the round weld, and the disk is removed. The diameter of the copper disk should be less than the internal diameter of the branch pipe by the thickness of its wall. The diameter of the opening in the coupling exceeds the outer diameter of the branch pipe by the thickness of its wall.
EFFECT: simplified sealing.
