FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pipeline transport and is implemented at repair of pipelines, mainly for main gas lines of high pressure. An additional rigid shell is arranged on a local section of operating pipeline; the shell consists of split couplings assembled by a step-by-step method. Conjugated ends of couplings are welded between them on thin-wall process rings. Connection of the shell with a pipe is performed at preliminary specified points using pairs of thin-wall process rings enveloping the pipe. Under coupling space in certain zones is filled with self-hardening mass, also reduced pressure of mass is used for couplings welded to the pipe. Couplings welded to the pipe either have increased thickness of walls or there is used and additional bandage over the welding seam. Ends of the shell are welded to the pipe using additional external process rings; end repair couplings are filled with a self-hardening mass with reduced pressure.
EFFECT: increased reliability of pipeline.
