FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to procedure of pipeline transport repair, mostly, gas mains. Method for repair of defect section of operating pipeline includes installation of three technological rings of two layers on both sides of repaired pipeline section, having defect in the shape of corrugation. The first layer consists of two rings with gap in between, which are welded to pipeline by means of joint in mentioned gap. The second layer consists of the third ring installed on top and welded to arranged first layer of rings by means of angular welding seams. Then split coupling is installed on the second layer of technological rings and welded with angular seams. Self-hardening mass is supplied to cavity formed by defect section of pipeline and split coupling.

EFFECT: higher quality is achieved in repair of defect sections of corrugation type in operating pipelines.
