FIELD: metallurgy, in particular constructional high-strength steel for weld-fabricates constructions.
SUBSTANCE: steel of invention contains (mass.%): carbon 0.14-0.20; manganese 1.10-1.50; silicium 0.15-0.35; boron 0.0010-0.0050; molybdenum 0.45-0.55; aluminum 0.03-0.06; titanium 0.01-0.04; nitrogen 0.005-0.015; calcium 0.001-0.010; sulfur 0.005-0.020; and balance iron, with the proviso that Ti/48+Al/27-N/14>=0.6x10-3; Mn+3.0xMo>=2.7. Claimed steel exhibits improved hardenability and useful for production of sheets having throughout hardenability, improved thermal properties with thickness 40 mm and less, as well as of bar section with diameter 50 mm and less.
EFFECT: steel excellent in hardenability.
