FIELD: hydraulic engineering, particularly protection equipment for water intake structures.
SUBSTANCE: system for water intake structure protection against silt, floating rubbish and oil products, fish and plankton ingress includes closed water intake area defined by protective dam with water intake orifice formed in dam body and with water intake conduit located opposite to water intake orifice. Water intake area is arranged in water pool. Through channel for alongshore current passage is formed along water pool bank. Water intake orifice in protective dam face waterwards. Inlet of water intake conduit is made as protective device providing vertical separation. Protective device includes inlet flow-forming member, working protective water-intake member and drainage member. Protective device is additionally provided with floating means formed as horizontal perforated pipeline connected to pressurized air conduit. Drainage member is connected to through channel and has unit for directed water stream forming communicated with pressure water source.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of water intake protection.
