METHOD OF PREDICTING DEVELOPMENT OF GENERALISED COMPLICATIONS IN CASE OF ACUTE DESTRUCTIVE PANCREATITIS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B10/00 G01N33/48 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery and clinical immunology, and can be used for predicting development of generalised complications in case of acute destructive pancreatitis in phase of purulent complications. Method includes determination of relative number of formazan-positive cells - neutrophil granulocytes (% FPC) of peripheral blood in load modified NBT-test with opsonised zymosan in patients with infectious acute destructive pancreatitis, and if their value is higher than 18%, high degree of risk to develop generalised complications is determined.

EFFECT: use of claimed method allows quickly, in a simple way and without great financial and technical expenditures with high probability (70,6%) to detect among patients with acute destructive pancreatitis in phase of purulent complications group of risk as to development of generalised complications (sepsis, various systemic disturbances) and, thus promote timely and efficient application of intensive therapy methods in order to reduce lethality, terms of hospitalisation and stay in intensive therapy departments.
