FIELD: switching-over servicing base stations; digital cellular code-division multiple access communication systems with broadband cells.
SUBSTANCE: first novelty is that for correct data transfer use is made of expanded synchronization lead, and mobile station sends SERVICE TRANSFER ACCESS message to new base station over logic channel organized for this message to initiate service transfer. Second novelty is that call re-establishment procedure should be used in service transfer. This characteristic feature can be used even in cells/systems without extended operating band. Third novelty is that mobile station sends service transfer request to base station in the course of synchronous transmission over special-purpose control channel using synchronization lead. Fourth novelty is that mobile station sends service request to base station over special-purpose control channel and base station delimits next time interval from traffic in the course of servicing and at the same time enables time interval for traffic unless service transfer access burst goes beyond time interval. Proposed invention will make it possible to produce broadband cells with aid of only one GSM carrier thereby enabling service transfer to respective cell. In addition proposed invention will enable embedding extended cells without noticeable reduction in data transfer capacity of this cell.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
