FIELD: wireless communication technique.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Wireless device is serviced by the first network node when receiving a positioning request requesting the wireless device to initiate the multilateration procedure. In response, wireless device sends a second network node contained in wireless communication network, a request for access to positioning, which indicates that an access request is associated with multilateration positioning, and requesting a second network node to determine a timing advance (TA) for a wireless device. Wireless device sends a second network node a received device identifier identifying the wireless device and the obtained source identifier identifying the first network node.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of wireless device positioning in a wireless communication network.
