SUBSTANCE: apparatus has vessel divided by partition into two chambers. Chamber for water to be purified is equipped with horizontal groove divided along its longitudinal axis by vertical partition having upper edge arranged below lower water level, and hollow cylinder including conical funnel with perforated collector under it. Emulsified suspended layer is used as purifying member. Float is arranged in horizontal groove on vertical partition for moving up and down, with top surface of float being drowned with respect to liquid surface and being provided with vertical ribs, which are arranged along longitudinal axis of float to define labyrinth passage. Top surface of float has sizes approximating those of groove surface. Slot gaps are defined between groove longitudinal sides and float longitudinal cuts.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in purifying of sewage water.
