FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has first filter of porous filtering medium, refiner feeding device arranged after first filter in the course of flow of melt, and second filter arranged downstream of refiner feeding device. Non-soluble contaminants introduced into melt together with refiner are removed by means of second filter. Also described are methods of filtering metal melts and introducing of refiner admixtures.
EFFECT: simplified construction and method and increased extent of purification of metal melts.
