SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning surfaces of articles; charging articles into containers; supplying saturation mixture into container; providing deposition of coating by thermal diffusion saturation process; holding and cooling; simultaneously with supplying of saturation mixture, feeding into container thermally conducting filler made in the form of granules or spheres of metal or alloy not reacting with zinc at temperature of up to 3500C and having melting temperature above 6000C; also using saturation mixture containing 99-100% of finely-dispersed zinc powder; providing thermal diffusion saturation process and holding at temperature of 260-3200C; after cooling procedure, subjecting articles to washing and passivation with the use of supersonics. Process line has article surface cleaning station, container charging station, thermal diffusion saturation station, cooling station, discharge station; article washing and passivation station. Thermal diffusion saturation station is made in the form of thermal furnace mounted on rotary platform for changing its position in vertical plane.
EFFECT: improved quality, uniform coating of predetermined thickness on compound-profiled articles made of high-strength steel, simplified process, reduced power consumption, waste-free utilization of saturation mixture, improved ecological safety of process.
