FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for cleaning and neutralization of toxic gas effluents. It provides cleaning of air from harmful solid particles and toxic gases. Reactor has ultraviolet radiator made in form of at least one ultraviolet lamp made of quartz glass with solid radiation spectrum within 190-420 nm, length 50-150 cm, which is mounted into acid-resistant material housing so that gas to be cleaning passes in ring space between ultraviolet lamp and housing at velocity of 0.1-0.5 m/s, solid particles are thrown to walls of housing and then directed into trap. Reactor is provided with transient gas flow velocity damper installed in housing at reactor inlet and made in form of thin-walled cylinder with inner blades tilted at angle of not less than 80o to longitudinal axis of housing, and two rigidly secured from outside elastic rings of heat resistant rubber on organosilicon base. Outer surfaces of each ring are secured on housing, and stops are provided for preliminary displacement of inner surfaces of rings relative to outer surfaces which are fitted in slots of housing to limit deformation of elastic rings within the limits of arc of circumference equal to 42-45o.
EFFECT: enlarged sphere of application of proposed reactor.
