FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steady sliding bearings with self-sliding pads and it can be used in compressors, pumps and turbines. In proposed steady sliding bearing distance from axis of hole in pad to outer surface of pad exceeds distance from axis of pin to inner surface of housing on which outer surface of pad rests by value equal to or greater than value of maximum radial clearance between working surface of pad and shaft. Radius of holes in pads exceeds radius of pins by value exceeding difference between distance from axis of hole in pad to outer surface of pad and distance from axis of pin to inner surface of housing on which outer surface of pad rests. Size of clearance between outer surface of pin and inner surface of hole in pad corresponds to expression S>l1-l2≥δ at S=R-r,R-r>δrad where S is clearance between outer surface of pin and inner surface of hole in pad; R is radius of hole; r is radius of pin; l1 is distance from axis of hole in pad to outer surface of pad; l2 is distance from axis of pin to inner surface of housing on which outer surface of pad rests; δrad is radial clearance between working surface of pad and shaft.

EFFECT: improved reliability of steady sliding bearing in operation, increased load-carrying capacity of bearing.
