FIELD: mechanical engineering; automotive industry; gear boxes. SUBSTANCE: bearing has inner and outer races with toroidal raceways. Barrel-shaped rollers received by seats of cage between raceways are located at preset radial clearance. Width of one race exceeds width of other race. Curvature radii of rollers and raceways of races are close relative to each other by their nominal values which exceed maximum distance between axis of rotation of bearing and toroidal raceway of race. Axis on which center of curvature of toroidal raceway of wider race is positioned lies at different distances relative to its end faces. Curvature radius of toroidal surface of raceway of each race is selected from the following relation-ship: R = (Δ2/8•δ)+(Dw/2), where Δ is complete axial shift to either side of one race of bearing relative to other race; δ is preset radial clearance in bearing; Dw is maximum diameter of roller.
