FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has radioactive inlay covered with radioactive substance layer. The inlay is enclosed in sealed capsule. The radioactive inlay is manufactured as tube, which surface is covered with radioactive substance. Tube wall thickness is not greater than reversed mean value of linear tube substance radiation attenuation coefficient weighted over radiation spectrum. The second embodiment of the invention has radioactive inlay designed as tube, which surface is covered with binding substance and the tube wall thickness is not greater than reversed mean value of linear tube substance radiation attenuation coefficient weighted over radiation spectrum.
EFFECT: small-scale anisotropy of radiation emitted by the ionizing radiation source; smaller quantities of radioactive substances used.
