SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiation therapy. In the method of forming the distributions of the absorbed dose of protons in the irradiated object during radiation therapy operations, the transverse dimensions of the absorbent filters are selected to be equal to the transverse dimensions of the two-dimensional projection of the irradiated object, thickness of first absorber filter and energy of protons is selected from condition of passage of protons to rear surface of irradiated object, second absorbing filter is made in the form of a set of plates with total thickness equal to the thickness of the irradiated object from the front to the rear surface, and the thickness of the individual plates is much less than the thickness of the irradiated object from the front to the rear surface, plates of the second absorber filter are automatically added to the beam coverage area by changing the thickness of the second absorber filter from zero to the thickness of the irradiated object from the back to the front surface, an irradiation cycle is arranged, at which each successive change in thickness of the second absorber filter from zero to the maximum value is accompanied by frame-by-frame action of the proton beam on the irradiated object, irradiation cycles are repeated until the preset absorbed dose of proton radiation is accumulated in the area of the irradiated object.
EFFECT: reduced radiation level of healthy tissues.
